The PowerQuiz Academic Trivia Championship is an engaging and intellectually stimulating competition designed to inspire students to explore knowledge beyond the classroom. Our program encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence by challenging students across a wide range of academic subjects in a fun and competitive environment. In an increasingly knowledge-driven world, fostering these skills at an early age is essential. By combining learning with excitement, we aim to nurture a lifelong love for education while helping students build the confidence to excel both academically and personally.
We actively collaborate with schools, Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs), Student Clubs, Afterschool Programs, and a wide range of educational institutions to make this initiative possible. Our goal is to deliver high-quality academic competitions directly to students through strong and meaningful community partnerships.

The championship is open to students enrolled in recognized schools, educational institutions, students’ clubs, and after-school programs. Participation is coordinated through schools, PTAs, or partner institutions rather than individual direct registration.

Elementary Division: Grades 3 to 5
Middle School/Junior High Division: Grades 6–8
High School Division: Grades 9–12
Registration is typically coordinated through schools or approved educational partners to ensure fair organization and proper supervision. However, in some cases, individual registration may be available through a dedicated event portal, depending on the specific championship setup. In all cases, student participation requires proper consent from a parent or legal guardian, along with organizational approval where applicable, to ensure safe and authorized involvement
Yes. Students compete only within their designated divisions, which may include students of multiple grades. Only one champion will be crowned for each division. However, each grade topper will have their own Grade Winner Awards.

This is an individual competition where each student participates and competes on their own merit.
There is no strict limit on the number of participants. All eligible students are welcome to take part in the written screening phase. Based on relative grading and performance, the top 20 students will advance to the on-stage qualifier round. From there, the competition continues to the final stage, where the top 4 students compete for the championship title, and one overall champion is crowned.
There is no fixed or restricted syllabus for the Academic Trivia Championship. Questions are designed to be broad and may draw from any of the 14 core subject areas, encouraging students to think beyond textbooks and apply general understanding. The best preparation is to stay curious and keep learning from the world around you. Reading across diverse topics like science, history, current affairs, technology, sports, and literature helps build strong general knowledge. Students should also focus on their school curriculum for a solid foundation, stay updated on the news, and practice quizzes to improve speed, accuracy, and confidence. Ultimately, success in the championship comes from curiosity, consistent learning, and the ability to think quickly and connect ideas across different fields of knowledge.
The written screening consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with varying levels of difficulty. Depending on the grade level and division, the test may include between 50 and 100 questions. The duration is 30 minutes, and it is designed to assess both knowledge and speed. It is normal for students not to complete all questions within the given time, as the assessment emphasizes accuracy and quick thinking. Higher-difficulty questions carry greater weight in scoring. The question set is dynamic and may vary to ensure a fair and comprehensive evaluation of students’ abilities.
Yes. Students can access a practice model to get familiar with the format and difficulty level of the screening test. Please follow the provided link to practice. Kindly note that this is only a sample set designed for preparation and does not represent the actual competition questions.
The On-Stage Qualifier is conducted as a fast-paced buzzer round featuring 4 students competing at a time. Each round consists of 8–12 multiple-choice or rapid-response questions designed to test accuracy, speed, and presence of mind. In the event of a tie, a tie-breaker round is conducted to determine which student advances to the next stage.
The finals do not follow a single fixed structure. Instead, they consist of 5–6 dynamic rounds, each designed with different formats and rules to test students’ knowledge, speed, and ability to think on their feet. The rounds may vary in style to challenge different skill sets, ensuring a well-rounded and engaging competition. In the event of a tie, a tie-breaker round will be conducted to determine the final Champion.
Yes, students are charged a nominal participation fee to help support the organization and execution of the championship.
